That's Why Balayya Delayed Aditya 999

Nandamuri Balakrishna was supposed to do Aditya 999, sequel to cult classic Aditya 369 which is completing 25 years by today, as his 100th film. Nonetheless, Balayya delayed the project after taking feedback from fans and well wishers.

Although, Balakrishna was happy with script prepared and narrated by Singeetham Srinivasa Rao, he was suggested to work with a young director for his milestone venture, rather picking an outdated filmmaker.

Other big reason is no producer dared to spent 40 crores budget proposed by the senior filmmaker. They feared whether Singeetham at this age can handle the high budget venture or not!

So, director Krish who had come up with a historical subject Gautamiputra Satakarni which is fitting for milestone film had bagged the opportunity. The film in the production stages is slated for release during Sankranthi, 2017.

Post this film, Balakrishna will next work with Krishna Vamsi for his 101st movie. Albeit, Krishna Vamsi name was also heard for the 100th film, Balakrishna picked Gautamiputra as script and producers were ready for the movie. The 'Legend' star also has a film with Boyapati Srinu.

It is heard that, Balakrishna still has interest to do Aditya 999; he is looking for a producer who won't bother about budget and other issues.
