Mega Director For Sairat Remake

Director Parasuram who delivered a mediocre hit with mega hero Allu Sirish starred Srirastu Subhamastu is most likely to direct Telugu remake of Marathi industry hit film Sairat. Rockline Venkatesh will bankroll the project. Comedy king Brahmanandam's son Gautam is rumored to star in the Telugu remake.

Initially, Parasuram didn't show interest to take up the project. Finally, he was convinced by the producer Rockline Venkatesh who is very close to mega family. The producer feels Parasuram who is expert in dealing drama and emotions can rightly handle the project.

The film still is in initial stage of discussion and official announcement regarding the project is expected only after negotiations materialize.

Rockline Venkatesh acquired Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu remake rights of Sairat after the movie received critical acclaims and turned out a commercial hit. Sairat made of Rs 4 crores budget is the first Marathi film to gross 100 crore worldwide. The original was directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Nagaraj Manjule.

If things go well, Gautam will be fortunate enough to be part of a meaningful film which has scope to enthrall Telugu spectators too.
