Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya is one of the finest films made in Tollywood in the recent past. Directed by debutant Swaroop RSJ, this detective thriller garnered good reception from both critics as well as the audiences. It is now being heard that the popular Tamil comedian Santhanam is remaking this film in Kollywood.
This Tamil remake will be directed by Manoj Beedha of Vanjagar Ulagam fame. Riya Suman, who earlier acted in films like Seeru and Majnu, will be paired alongside Santhanam in this movie. The shooting of this film will go on the floors very soon. An official announcement about the project is expected to be made in a few days.
Naveen Polishetty’s incredible performance played a major role in the success of the original version. We have to see if Santhanam manages to recreate the same magic on the big screen. Santhanam was last seen in the film Biscoth, which had a direct OTT release a couple of months back.
