Mega hero Vaishnav Tej’s debut Uppena has opened to thunderous start at the Box Office. The youthful romance starring Vijay Sethupathi, Krithi Shetty and directed by Buchi Babu Sana has drawn crowds in large numbers on Friday.
According to trade analysts, Uppena has earned a world-wide gross of Rs 20 Crore on the first day which is a huge given that the film stars newcomers in the lead and it is directed by first-timer. The worldwide distributor share is estimated to be at Rs 10 Crore. This is about 50 percent recovery on first day itself given that the film is made with a budget of over Rs 20 Crore.
In Andhra Pradesh (Andhra and Ceded), Uppena is said to have collected a share of Rs 6.20 Crore on Friday. In both Telugu states, the distributor share is estimated to be around Rs 9 Crore.
