It has been all over the news that Arjun Reddy remake in Tamil, Varmaa movie is being scrapped to start shooting right from the scratch, due to the producers' dissatisfaction on director's Bala's version. Producers E4 Entertainment issued a press release in this context.
Now, after three days, director Bala sent a press not rubbishing the producers' version and also he attached the agreement copies to his tweets. Bala stated in his press note that he was forced to release the explanation due to the false statement from the producer.
"In order to safeguard creative freedom, it was my own decision to relieve myself from this project. Please find the agreement initiated by me with the producer on January 22, 2019, along with this. Considering Dhruv Vikram's future, I would like to end this here" the press note read.
According to the agreement attached by Bala, the producers were not satisfied by Bala's final cut and wanted more changes in it, for which the director did not agree. Instead, he proposed to give away the Footage of the film, FIlm stills, All soundtracks, IT tracks, Unmixed and Mixed songs and Tracks and get the film edited by any technician they want.
He even mentioned waiving the balance payment due to his studios from the producers and agreed to issue a 'no dues certificate' on the film. Bala's terms were to completely remove his name from the project and his name should not be mentioned or associated with the project including credit, interviews, publicity designs, press meet, and promotional activities.
This agreement between the director and producer was made in presence of Vikram on January 22 at Bala's B studios office.
