The Telugu Desam Party's collapse in Andhra Pradesh elections has come down as a big blow to party chief and its members. To add insult to their injury, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma announced that he will address a press meet at Pipula Road, Vijayawada around 4 PM on Sunday evening.
A day after assembly results in AP are declared, Ram Gopal Varma to his Twitter to make the open challenge. Inviting 'true fans of legendary NTR' to the press meet, RGV said: "I will be holding a press meet around 4 PM this Sunday at the same location where I was detained and sent back from Vijayawada - NTR Circle, Pipula Road. Basthi Me Sawaal!!! It's my open invitation to all the true fans of NTR" and he signed off the tweet saying: 'Jai Jagan'.
Back in April, Ram Gopal Varma was in for a series of unexpected events after he announced that he will hold a press meet of his film Lakshmi's NTR in Pipula Road, Vijayawada. The Andhra Pradesh Police authorities took him into custody and sent back to Hyderabad. RGV alleged that former CM Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to bar him from organising a press meet and the same was questioned by YSRCP chief and newly elected Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Now that Jagan is all set to take oath as new CM of state, the filmmaker is trying to poke at TDP with news-grabbing stunts.
