Big Four: Here Is How They Fared In 2019

For almost two decades, Megastar Chiru, Balayya, Nagarjuna and Venky have ruled Tollywood unanimously as the four important pillars that always deliver entertainment for the audiences. For every big festival, one of them used to click with their respective movies and made the life of Telugu people in 90s and 2000s quite interesting.

Cut to 2019, they have all almost became senior citizens, but still doing those commercial films to entertain the audiences. If we look at how they fared, we must say that Venky has a super success rate, while Balayya is reeling with negative results. And while Chiranjeevi did okay, Nagarjuna struggled.

Venky has scored two hits this year, one with F2 early in the year and with Venky Mama at the end. He made sure that his comedy timing will be talked about, and that really worked wonders for him. Chiranjeevi tried a hand at costume drama with Sye Raa and the magnum opus tasted different result in different areas.

Then comes Nagarjuna, whose Manmadhudu 2 hasn't performed up to expectations, and also proved that age factor started to worry him as audiences are not accepting him like earlier.

Cut to Balayya, it is time for the Nandamuri star to choose his scripts carefully as he got two megaflops in the form of NTR biopic and Ruler this year. Those films have budgets, production values and fantastic star cast but somehow the lack of story and presence of routine emotions is not working out at the box office.

We must see what is in store for these four in 2020 as Chiranjeevi is doing Koratala Siva's movie, Venky will be coming up with Asuran remake, Balayya picked Boyapati Sreenu again and Nagarjuna moving to a cop drama under writer Solomon's direction.
