Vijay Sethupathi is one of the most sought after actors down south. He has proved his mettle with Sye Raa and now, his fans are awaiting the release of his second Telugu film Uppena.

The buzz is that the 96 actor has been roped in to play the lead antagonist in Varun Tej's upcoming film Boxer, which is being directed by Kiran Korrapati. Makers have approached the actor and Kiran has said to have narrated the script, which has impressed the actor too. Sources say that the dotted line is yet to be signed.

It is known that he is part of Sukumar and Allu Arjun's next in which he will be seen playing the lead antagonist. Reportedly, the Tamil actor has asked for a remuneration worth Rs 1.5 Cr, which the producers have thought it too much for someone who is just one film old in Telugu as of now. The sum is considered big which not many even from Bollywood charge. Post Sye Raa, Vijay has been flooded with offers from many Telugu directors and producers. But looks like he might have lost many because of the remuneration he charges. High time that someone guides him.

On the work front, Varun is hitting the gym regularly to get into the shape to play the role of a boxer. The looks is already visible in the photographs he posts on Instagram.
