Rakul Preet Bags Yet Another Flop In Bollywood

Rakul Preet Singh is the star heroine in the South film industry. Of late, with the entry of many young heroines, Rakul’s presence is missing in Telugu. She had only one full-length release in 2019 and she did not have any release last year. This year, she was featured in Nithiin’s Check but it flopped at the box office. The actress is putting more focus on Bollywood but it is also not giving good results. The actress’ new movie Sardaar Ka Grandson released today and it received poor ratings from critics.

Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet played the lead roles in the film while Neena Gupta played a supporting character. The film skipped the theatrical release and released directly on Netflix. The film opened to poor and average reviews from the critics. The audiences who watched the film shared similar comments on social media.

According to Netflix, the film’s synopsis is, “A devoted grandson’s mission to reunite her ailing grandmother with her ancestral home turns into a complicated, cross-border affair.”

Kaashvie Nair directed the film. Anuja Chauhan and Kaashvi Nair wrote the movie. The film was produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, Nikkhil Advani, and John Abraham under the banners T-Series, Emmay Entertainment, and JA Entertainment.

Sardar Ka Grandson joins the flop films of Rakul Preet in Bollywood. She earlier acted in Shimla Mirchi, Marjaavan, De De Pyaar De and Aiyaary.

On the other hand, Rakul Preet currently has 3 Hindi films and 2 Tamil films on hand. The actress also did a Telugu film with Vaisshnav Tej, which is due for a release soon.
