Krishna B’Day Special: Never-Before & Never-Again In ‘First of Firsts’

Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna, popularly known as Superstar Krishna is celebrating his 78th birthday today. The film industry personalities, family members, movie buffs and fans are pouring in birthday wishes to the actor on social media. In a career spanning 5 decades, Krishna acted in more than 350 films. He is a multi-talented personality who wrote, directed and produced films, along with acting. Krishna was honoured with ‘Padma Bhushan’ in 2009 for his contribution to the Indian cinema.

Everyone knew that Krishna is referred as a ‘Daring & Dashing’ hero by the film industry folks. Krishna was always ahead of his contemporaries in attempting new experiments. He always used to have a tab on new technological advancements in filmmaking. Krishna implemented many such techniques in Telugu and tasted big hits. He is someone who is a never-before and never-again kind of personality in the film industry. Krishna is the person behind many ‘Firsts’ in the film industry.

Superstar Krishna introduced the First Eastman color film, First Cinemascope Film, First 70MM film, First DTS Film, First Cowboy film, and First Spy film to the Telugu film industry. All the films ended up becoming big hits at the box office.

Krishna produced multiple sequels for his spy film series, Goodachari 116.

Krishna essayed roles across different genres including mythological, drama, social, cowboy, western classic, folklore, action, and historical.
