Another small-budget Telugu film that has opted for a direct digital release after the coronavirus pandemic is Pachchis. This suspense thriller started premiering on Amazon Prime Video from today. Debutante director-duo Sri Krishna and Rama Sai have helmed this project.
Prime Video’s synopsis suggests that Pachchis is a cat and mouse thriller that revolves around the lead characters Abhiram and Avantika. Abhiram loses all his money through gambling. When he plans for a quick recovery, he finds himself in a mess, along with Avantika who is in search of her missing brother. Raamz, Swetha Varma, and Ravi Varma played the lead roles in the movie.
On the flip side, the recent big-ticket Tamil film Eeswaran has premiered on Dinsey+Hotstar today. Starring Simbu, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Nanditha Swetha in the lead roles, this flick had hit the screens during Pongal festive season this year. After a long gap, it has finally premiered on a digital platform. Suseenthiran directed this rural drama. You can add these two flicks to your weekend watchlist right away.
