The Real Story Behind The ‘Baby’

The movie “Baby” creates a sensation at the Tollywood box office, despite being initially released as a small film. It has already grossed more than Rs. 43 crores and continues to perform well even in adverse weather conditions. Director Sai Rajesh is extremely happy with the film’s success.

Interestingly, the story of “Baby” is not a complete work of fiction. In an interview, writer and director Sairajesh revealed that he adapted the story based on a true incident in Salem, Tamil Nadu. A few years ago, a girl studying engineering became friends with her classmate and an auto driver and eventually fell in love with them. However, when the two boys found out about each other, they became enraged and brutally murdered the girl.

Upon learning about this incident and seeing the visuals related to the murder, Sairajesh was deeply moved. He decided to weave a story around the three characters, focusing on the girl’s perspective rather than simply portraying the murder as it happened. This approach allowed him to create a film.

The film’s success can be attributed to its trendy and realistic story and characters, resonating with the youth. Mass Movie Makers bankrolled the film.

Anand Deverakonda, Vaishnavi Chaitanya, and Viraj Ashwin acted in the lead roles.
