Alia Bhatt is clearly having her best Cannes run yet. For one of her most talked-about looks, she stepped out in a stunning off-shoulder chintz gown covered in rich floral and paisley prints in deep reds, golds and burgundy.
With a fitted corset bodice, dramatic draped skirt and a delicate hand fan as her prop, she looked every bit like an Indian queen who had just arrived at the French Riviera. A sleek bun, statement necklace and chandelier earrings completed the look, old world royalty meets Cannes glamour, and it worked beautifully.
Her second look took a completely different but equally powerful turn. She wore a pristine ivory saree with delicate threadwork all over, draped softly and elegantly with the pallu flowing behind her.

Paired with a deep V-neck embroidered blouse, a sheer choker necklace and statement jhumkas, the look was pure desi grace. Standing against the blue Cannes sky and the sea behind her, she looked like India’s finest export to the world’s most famous film festival.
Two looks, two moods, one actress owning it all. This is Alia’s second consecutive year at Cannes as a global ambassador for L’Oréal Paris, and with every appearance she is proving that Indian fashion belongs on the world stage just as much as any European couture. Cannes still has days to go and Alia, quite clearly, is just warming up.
