Former Rajya Sabha MP Vijaysai Reddy had the darshan of Lord Venkateswara Swamy during the VIP Break in Tirumala this morning. After the Darshan, Sai Reddy spoke to the media and announced starting a new political party.
He confirmed that his party will represent the people in the Assembly and Parliament and would make the party announcement and his future course of action in this month itself in Vijayawada.
If we observe the history of Andhra Pradesh, a national party like the Congress came to power here.
Regional Parties like Telugu Desam Party, TRS (now BRS), and YSR Congress came to power after they were spearheaded by actors or seasoned political leaders who proved their mettle in direct politics.
There are no instances of someone with no proper political background coming and succeeding in politics.
Vijayasai Reddy is a backroom leader all his career. In fact, he became active only after YSR’s demise in 2009.
Except for 2024 elections, he never contested in a direct election. His connection with the Public is also very limited.
He is always into liaisoning in Delhi or handling Backoffice things for Jagan in YSR Congress.
The Party should have a crowd puller and a face that should bring votes. Vijayasai Reddy lacks that for now.
On the other hand, Sai Reddy already announced about starting a Media House. Its been more than four months since that announcement.
We will have to see if he will make an announcement about it as well in his Vijayawada Pressmeet.
