Allahabad HC Rejects Student’s Hijab Plea

The Allahabad High Court has dismissed a minor student’s petition seeking permission to wear a headscarf with her school uniform. The court held that students cannot alter prescribed dress codes based on personal preferences and observed that wearing a headscarf is not an essential Islamic religious practice.
