The Modi praise from the Andhra Pradesh government seems to be reaching a different level altogether.
Narendra Modi completed 25 years at the helm of an elected government, when he first took oath as CM of Gujarat on October 7, 2001 and today is Oct 7, 2026, and continues his leadership journey. Celebrating this, the AP Cabinet passed a resolution praising his leadership, discipline, honesty and commitment. CM Chandrababu Naidu also reportedly suggested that Modi’s policies should be studied.
Meanwhile, Nara Lokesh went a step further. At the Venkateswara Swamy temple in Venkatapalem, Lokesh performed special prayers and wished that “Modern Iron Man” Modi’s dreams and wishes should be fulfilled.
Political leaders praising their alliance partner is nothing new. But the intensity and heights of praising Modi from the AP government is now becoming noticeable and becoming a talking point on social media. This comes at a time, Modi and his government are at the centre of Election Commission controversy over SIR.
Notwithstanding this, Chandrababu and Lokesh are leaving no stone unturned to impress Modi with their acts. AP Cabinet passing a resolution is certainly something way too above and crossing the line.
When it comes to Pawan Kalyan, he started this Modi praise much earlier. Even before Chandrababu and Lokesh, Pawan has been openly backing Modi and repeatedly praising his leadership. But now, Chandrababu and Lokesh seem to be taking the Modi praise a little too far by crossing Pawan.
For the TDP, the political alliance with BJP is important. There is no doubt about it. But when praise starts looking excessive, it can also raise questions about whether political admiration is crossing the line.
