Coming down heavily on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP, TRS Chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao said that the Prime Minister gave away 7 mandals of Telangana to Chandrababu Naidu. "It was a deal between Modi and Chandrababu Naidu and the latter took them through an Ordinance even before we formed a government," said KCR in an interview with a national media channel. On criticism for all his pujas and Yaagas, KCR said: "Narendra Modi can have prasadam if I'm doing Yaagas. It is my personal problem. Why is he bothered?."
Surprisingly, KCR made some positive comments on Sonia Gandhi. "Sonia Gandhi was a magnanimous woman. But, they chose a different way. But, the time to work with them has gone. Anyway, there is no match to TRS in the state," he said, adding that nationally, both BJP and Congress are much worse. "We need an alternative and people need to decide," he added.
On claims that TRS government made a revenue-surplus Telangana a revenue deficit, KCR said that "Revenue deficit and such things are rubbish. People don't understand economics. We have more important things to focus on." In his statements though, he did not give a clarity on why Telangana became a revenue deficit state.
For the first time, KCR also commented on the Ayodhya issue and said: "Ayodhya isn't an issue at all. It is a political mess and BJP is raking it up for its survival. They will bring it up only during elections," he revealed, strongly hitting back at the BJP for commenting on his Muslim appeasement strategy.
