Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to touchdown at Etukuru Bypass Road, Guntur, in a couple of hours. During his visit, Modi will address BJP supporters and kickstart the party's election campaign. Modi will also inaugurate several central government projects during his 2 hour visit. AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu and other key TDP leaders have decided to boycott Modi's visit and are not going to the airport to welcome the PM.
However, Modi's Guntur visit is not a bed of roses as the BJP supremo is facing a lot of opposition from the TDP, Congress and the Left parties. Adding to this, even the common people are hell-bent on showing Modi their displeasure over the PM's betrayal on the Special Status promise and a lackluster financial support to Andhra Pradesh in his 5 year reign.
Meanwhile, angry netizens are prominently trending the #ModiGoBack hashtag on social media. Even several banners and hoardings have been erected in Guntur and other parts of the state. Political analysts are of the opinion that Modi's Guntur visit will not prove worthwhile for the BJP as the unrest among the public is beyond control.
