Andhra Pradesh police received a complaint that the furniture belonging to Andhra Pradesh assembly went missing. However, the police did not register a case but got to know that this happened when TDP leader Kodela Siva Prasad Rao was the speaker.

Responding on this issue, Kodela accepted that while shifting the furniture from Hyderabad to Amaravati, few stuff of the furniture were used by him. Post the polls, Kodela wrote a letter to the Assembly concerned officials to take back the furniture which were under his control. However, the officials did not respond on the letter.

"I'm ready to handover the furniture or else I'm willing to pay the value of the furniture," said Kodela reportedly in a statement. The AP Assembly furniture were reportedly shifted in March 2017 and after receiving the complaint, the police on Monday reached assembly and learned about the missing ones.

Getting to know that he is being deliberately targeted, Kodela promptly reacted and offered to return the furniture and tried to settle the issue.
