Buggana blames Chandrababu for power crisis

Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister has on Friday blamed previous TDP government for growing debts to finance power for the state. The AP Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy has took a swipe at Chandrababu Naidu for dropping false allegations on the electricity department.

Speaking to media, Buggana has accused that previous government didn't pay the power dues to discoms and on top of it, they went to purchase power a premium price, which has led to 2700 cr loss to state budget. He further accused that TDP government has left the department in 42,000 Cr loss and now making fake allegations against YSRCP govt.

He further striked at Naidu, "Despite knowing the fact that power prices will get lowered, TDP govt has purchased power at a very high cost. The Naidu govt has left state in 2.58 lakh Cr of debts and they didn't pay salaries to the outsourcing employees from last 9 months. While some TDP aligned contractors were issued 3358 Cr, Civil Supply Corporation has been pushed to debts. Also, TDP government sanctioned Rs 1060 Cr for the contractor they liked and took 38,000 Cr as supplementary grant for Pasupu-Kunkuma scheme."

The current Finance Minister also questioned Naidu increasing the debts of power sector to Rs 14,000 Cr from 7200 Crores. Buggana also attacked TDP supreme for having purchased wind power at a very costly price, for which the state government had to bear the loss of Rs 2,700 Cr.
