All doors closed for Nirbhaya convicts

The Supreme Court of India has closed all the doors for the convicts of Nirbhaya gang-rape and murder. A five-judge bench has dismissed the curative pleas filed by convicts Vinay Sharma and Mukesh Singh.

This clears the way for their execution which is scheduled on January 22nd. The four convicts are currently placed in Delhi's Tihar jail. The jail authorities are doing the preparatory works for the hanging process.

On Sunday, the prison officials performed a dummy execution and for the main execution, the Tihar jail authorities are bringing in Pawan Jallad from Meerut. Around 7 AM, on January 22nd, the four convicts will be hanged to death in the prison number 3 confirmed the authorities.
