After Chiru, YSRCP looking at this Congress leader

A few days back, there came unconfirmed reports that AP CM YS Jagan is planning to give Rajya Sabha (RS) ticket to Megastar Chiranjeevi. In April month, four seats of RS will become vacant and Jagan wants to offer one seat to a film personality. Neither YSRCP reacted on the rumour nor Chiru did. Now another speculation popped up.

It seems former AP Congress chief Raghuveera Reddy is most likely to join YSRCP. Not just joining, Jagan may offer Rajya Sabha ticket to him as well. Raghuveera was a true follower of late YSR and they maintained cordial relations. However post YSR's death and Jagan floating his own party, Raghuveera stuck to Congress. Post bifurcation of AP, he was appointed as AP Congress chief. Some time back Raghuveera announced a short break from politics and is doing agriculture at his native village.

This is just a rumour and how far is it true is to be known. Raghuveera is a true Congressman and despite the Congress being dead in AP, he remained as a true loyalist. Will Raghuveera switch the flag for Rajya Sabha? Not sure.

But Jagan has a different equation for this. Raghuveera hails from BC community and if he is sent to the Upper House, the community equations would get a balance, is what in Jagan's mind. Former MLA Mastan Rao is also in contention but if he is not willing, then definitely Raghuveera would be given high priority instead of YSRCP leaders.
