After 3 Years Naidu Faces Same Fate of Jagan

Life comes a full circle. This is so apt in the case of political arch rivals Chandrababu Naidu and YS Jaganmohan Reddy. When Chandrababu Naidu was Chief Minister, then Opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy was denied entry into Visakhapatnam as he had planned to observe a silent candle rally on the beach road demanding the Special Category Status. AP police had then raised objection citing Republic Day commemoration as well as two-day CII partnership summit as reasons to deny permission to Jagan's protest in Vizag. Police had then detained Jagan Reddy along with his two MPs at Vizag airport to control the situation. This took place on Jan 26, 2018.

Three years from then, it's a role reversal. Now, under CM Jagan's rule, Opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu has attempted to visit Vizag as part of his Uttarandhra tour where he would meet people from Vizianagaram and people enroute Vizianagaram. Naidu is expected to stop by at Pendurthy to talk to people whose lands were being acquired by the government for housing for poor scheme.

But Naidu's two-visit Uttarandhra is marred by protests of YCP netas and a section of people as he opposed CM Jagan's proposed idea to make Vizag as State's Executive Capital.

Tempers are rising as both YCP and TDP netas are at loggerheads in Vizag. Police force has been deployed in large numbers outside Vizag airport in order to avoid clash between the two party leaders. It is buzzed that Chandrababu Naidu could be taken into custody and could be arrested by police in order to avoid untoward incidents.

As Naidu is set for visit in Uttarandhra, YCP leaders and activists are ready with placards and slogans against Naidu such as 'Babu Go Back' as Naidu wants AP capital to be retained at Amaravati. Political analysts are opining that Jagan could take revenge on Naidu by getting him arrested by Vizag police - the situation which he had faced two years ago in the same city.
