Telugu Student Commits Suicide In US Due to Deportation Fear

It is known that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement department in the United States is going hard on the illegal migration problem in the country. The local authorities are also focused on identifying illegal immigrants and also cracking down on the student community, which is working on part time gigs against the regulations.

In view of the sudden crack down by the Trump administration, the Indian student community in the United States is in shambles now. Several youngsters are scared to take up part time gigs due to the fear of getting tracked by the authorities. And on the contrary, if they don’t work on these part time gigs, their financial situation worsens.

All these hugely detrimental reasons have now reportedly led to the suicide of a Telugu student in the United States.

According to a vague media report, a Telugu student named Sai Kumar Reddy who is residing in New York apparently died by suicide. This news came into circulation after a video of his friend supposedly speaking about the suicide went viral. Apparently, Sai Kumar was already stressed about the deportation drive done by the Trump administration and was fearing consequences.

It is also heard that his passport was allegedly confiscated by the ICE agents. This allegedly led to his suicide. However, his whereabouts and the substantial evidence are yet to be established for now.
