3 Dead, 14 Injured In Mass Shooting In Texas!

Over the last decade or so, Texas had emerged as the primary destination for the Telugu community in the United States. So virtually, every news regarding Texas is of major concern to the Telugu community.

On that note, something extremely unfortunate has happened in Texas as a mass shooting incident has killed three people and left 14 others severely injured.

The law enforcement agencies in Austin, Texas have confirmed three people were killed and 14 others injured after a gunman opened fire early Sunday at Buford’s, a popular bar in the city’s entertainment district.

Police Chief Lisa Davis said officers responded within seconds to reports of a shooting, confronted the armed suspect, and returned fire, killing him at the scene.

EMS Chief Robert Luckritz confirmed three victims were pronounced dead and 14 were transported to hospitals, including three in critical condition.

The shooter has been identified as 53-year-old immigrant from Senegal, Ndiaga Diagne, according to the latest reports. The alleged shooter had a Quran in his vehicle and was allegedly wearing a shirt that read “Property of Allah.”

The FBI is currently investigating the possible terrorism angle in this gruesome incident as the timing of this incident is in close to proximity to US’s attacks against Iran.
