USA: Indian Student Found Dead in National Park

In the last week of April, Indian origin student Sandarsh Krishna went missing at the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona, USA when he was a solo trip to hike the Rim Trail inside between Bright Angel Lodge and Mohave Point in the evening.

The two week search operation has ended on a tragic note as Sandarsh was found dead. The body was recovered Saturday near the Verkamp’s Visitor Center on the South Rim, as per the latest reports.

He was a student of the Arizona State University who came to USA for pursuing master’s degree on F -1 Visa. He was supposed to get his graduation certificate last week.

Immediately after the news about Krishna’s disappearance in the valley, an investigation was launched to find out his whereabouts. A black backpack believed to be associated with Sandarsh was found a few days ago.

Police believe Krishna had the backpack before his disappearance. It was turned in to hotel personnel at Bright Angel Lodge the same day Sandarsh was reported missing.

There has been little hope on survival of Sandarsh as the Grand Canyon National Park is a harsh terrain and it has already been two weeks since he went missing. Unfortunately, his dead body has been traced nearly after 10 days.

Police are currently investigating into the case to know about the facts about the mysterious death.
