It is really concerning that an alarming number of Indian national individuals have gone missing in USA in recent times due to various reasons and later found dead after intense search operations by the police teams.
Yesterday, it was reported that the body of 26 year old Sandarsh Krishna, who went missing two weeks ago was retrieved from the Grand Canyon National Park. Now, another similar tragedy took place again.
As per the latest reports, Indian-origin young man Arnav Singh who had gone missing near San Jose State University was found dead after an extensive search by authorities and rescue teams in California. The 20-year-old was last seen on May 5 after his parents dropped him near the university campus in San Jose.
When he could not be reached out by his family for several hours, they approached the local police and a search operation was immediately launched.
Police teams, university officers, and search-and-rescue personnel reportedly searched several locations across the city for the past few days. On May 8, authorities discovered his body near Phelan Avenue, around two miles away from the university campus.
Officials said that there were no signs of injuries anywhere on the body of Arnav Singh. However, the exact cause of death has not yet been revealed, and the investigation is still ongoing. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner’s Office is currently handling the case.
Authorities also mentioned that Arnav Singh was not a current student at the university, even though he had been dropped near the campus before he went missing. Police have not shared details about how he reached the area where his body was eventually found.
The incident has left many members of the Indian community in the US saddened, with several people expressing condolences to the family on social media.
Meanwhile, another missing case of Indian student is being reported from Arizona State University. A student named Ansh Arora has been missing from the past three days and the case is under search now.
