South Africa: Telugu Trainee Pilot Dies In Plane Crash

In recent months, there has been a disturbing rise in unfortunate accidents involving Indians living abroad. In particular, several students and young professionals from the Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have lost their lives in tragic incidents overseas.

In yet another tragic news to report, a young trainee pilot from Telangana died in a tragic plane crash in South Africa. The victim, identified as 22-year-old Adepu Sumanth, belongs to Seethampeta village in the Hasanparthy area of Hanumakonda district.

Sumanth was the younger son of a couple named Chandramohan and Nirmala. He had a strong passion for flying and decided to pursue a career in aviation. To fulfill his dream of becoming a commercial pilot, he initially went to Mumbai for his training.

After completing his studies, Sumanth went to Johannesburg in South Africa for advanced practical flight training. Unfortunately, he died after an accident took place on Saturday night while he was flying a jet aircraft along with his friend.

Sources revealed that the plane crashed at the time of landing during the training session, and Sumanth died on the spot. The accident resulted in the instant death of both individuals on board. As soon as the news of his sudden death reached his hometown, a wave of sadness spread across the village, and his family was left completely heartbroken.

The family has now approached Union Minister for State Bandi Sanjay to bring back the mortal remains to India for final rites.

A few days ago, a Telugu origin individual died after a skydiving flight crashed in Missouri State of USA. Now, another young life ended due to a similar tragedy.
