Govinda Govinda! Tirumala Laddu Sold For 7 Cr In Texas!

Texas has emerged as one of the primary destinations for the Indian community in the United States thanks to its favourable, weather conditions, and low tax rates. It is understood that several pockets of Texas are loaded with Indians to the degree that people might get confused, whether they are living in US or AP.

Subsequently, there is increased footprint for the Telugu community in this region, and that is reflecting in the latest activity involving the sacred Tirumala laddu.

Incidentally, there was the sacred Prana Prathishta event that happened at the newly opened Sri Venkateswara Swamy Vigraham at Radhakrishna Temple in Allen, Texas. This event was further amplified with a massive auction for the sacred Tirumala Laddu, that was specially carried there.

The sacred Laddu was auctioned for an astounding $777,777, which roughly converts to Rs 7.48 crore. The highest bid was placed by devotee Sri Venkata Ramana who is a Telugu land native and had settled down here in Texas along with his family.

The fact that the Tirumala Laddu was auctioned for a massive ₹7.5 crore in Shows the prominence of the Telugu community here and also the increased visibility of the Telugu folk. We generally see such practises here in India, but for the first time, Dallas is witnessing something so significant and it perhaps reflects the might of the Telugu folk there in this region of the USA.
