Indian Man Killed During Pizza Delivery In New York

A day after a Gujarat based businessman named Suresh Patel was shot dead by a masked man in Tennessee, another shocking murder of an Indian origin individual took place in USA.

As per reports, a 28-year-old Indian man from Punjab was shot and killed while delivering pizza in New York City. The victim, identified as Gurdeep Singh, was working his shift in the Richmond Street area of Brooklyn when an unidentified attacker shot him during a suspected robbery attempt.

The New York police have registered a case and started investigation. The murderer is on the run since the shooting incident.

Gurdeep belonged to Jabbowal village in the Kapurthala district of Punjab. He moved to the United States around 2017 to earn a living and build a better life for his family.

To fund his journey abroad, his family had taken on significant debt. His father shared that Gurdeep faced many financial challenges after arriving in the US, but he worked long hours to support his loved ones back home.

The sudden news of his death has left his family and home village deeply devastated. Gurdeep was unmarried and is survived by his father and brother. His family has appealed to both the Punjab state government and the Indian Central government to assist in bringing his body back to India for the final rites.
