As per latest media reports this morning, applicants with interviews already scheduled have received notification emails stating that their appointments are canceled and will be rescheduled for a later date. Many Indians are likely to be impacted with this shocking development.

This unexpected move also affects thousands of visa seekers globally, causing significant delays and uncertainty for international travelers, workers, and families.

The U.S. Department of State explained that the pause is necessary to conduct mandatory, in-depth training for consular officers. This global training program aims to ensure that staff evaluate visa applicants consistently across all locations.
