

Pooja Hegde had a special moment as she was invited as the Guest of Honour at the India Day Parade in New York. The actress shared how proud and honoured she felt seeing so many Indians come together to celebrate the country on foreign soil. For the special occasion, Pooja looked radiant in a yellow and mint-green organza saree with delicate floral embroidery, paired with a matching sash. She kept her look traditional yet elegant with a choker necklace, jhumka earrings, and soft waves, completing the outfit with a bindi that added a graceful, festive touch.
She posted pictures on Instagram, where she is seen holding the Indian flag while standing atop a car during the parade. She was also given a sash that read “Chief Guest.” Pooja called it a matter of immense pride to witness the streets of New York filled with Indians celebrating everything that connects them to home. She also thanked the organisers for the special experience.
The parade, held on Madison Avenue, is known as the largest India Day celebration outside India. Actor Adivi Sesh also joined as chief guest.
On the work front, Pooja has an exciting lineup ahead, she will lead Kanchana 4, the next installment of the popular horror-comedy franchise directed by Raghava Lawrence, who also co-stars. She will also be seen in Sri Sri staring Dulquer Salmaan, a romantic Telugu film directed by Ravi Nelakuditi, and Sanki, a high-octane action thriller alongside Ahan Shetty.
