Fatima Sana Shaikh made headlines at the first International Film Festival of Jammu & Kashmir 2026 in Srinagar, where she spoke up for regional cinema.

The actress said such films show the real intricacies of a region instead of an outsider’s view. Fatima, whose mother hails from Kashmir, called her return to the Valley special and said the state has the potential to become a global shooting destination. She also spoke warmly about her Dangal co-star Zaira Wasim.

Fatima is also making waves visually, gracing the cover of Lifestyle Asia India’s September 2026 issue titled “Girl’s Got Game.” She looked effortlessly chic in a beige trench coat layered over a shimmery bralette. In another striking click, she stunned in a strapless peach pleated gown with a plunging neckline, radiating pure elegance.

On the work front, Fatima does not have any film releases lined up this year, keeping fans eagerly awaiting her next big project.
