Sobhita Dhulipala has built her name on layered, morally grey roles. Made in Heaven, Major, Ponniyin Selvan and Monkey Man made her a favourite across industries, and she is now called the face of Indian noir.
Her first bold shoot after marriage for The Hollywood Reporter India is a styling masterclass. The cover look has a cropped grey faux fur jacket over black briefs and sheer tights, with a sculpted gold belt carrying a cross charm and a teardrop crystal pendant. A messy updo, smoky eyes and nude lips keep it edgy.
Next comes a black halter with strappy cut-outs and a shredded ladder-style midi skirt, finished with a black and chartreuse feather boa and ankle-strap heels. She also wears a sheer plum bodysuit under an oversized grey checked blazer, with red sheer cuffs, red sunglasses, burgundy tights and glossy pumps. The showstopper is a magenta one-shoulder drape with a long trailing train, paired with crystal-fringed thigh-high boots and a short wavy bob.
On the work front, Sobhita is gearing up for Vettuvam, directed by Pa. Ranjith. She says she poured all of herself into the role and had been praying for a part like this.
