Vehicles may have ‘tabla or flute horns’ in future

Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari stated that the ministry is working out new rules to make vehicle horns more soothing in the future. For the same, plans are being made to introduce horns with Indian musical instruments.

According to the Lokmat report, Gadkari has directed the officials to make the new rules so that the vehicle manufacturers will be directed to use the ‘right type of horn’ which may include the music of Indian musical instruments.

As quoted by Lokmat, Gadkari said, “I live on the 11th floor in Nagpur. I do pranayama for 1 hour every morning. But the horn disturbs the morning silence. After this trouble, the thought came to my mind that the horns of the vehicles should be in the right manner.”

“We have started thinking that the sound of car horns should be Indian instruments and we are working on it. The sound of instruments like tabla, percussion, violin, bugle, flute should be heard from the horn,” he further added.

Gadkari stated that a new law regarding this will be enforced soon. He said that all these rules will be applied to every auto manufacturer so that each and every vehicle will have the right type of horn.

We may get further updates about these new rules in the coming days.
