What’s This Sudden Change In YS Jagan

Last evening AP CM YS Jagan held a Spandana review meeting which was graced by Collectors, Superintendent of Police (SP) and other officials. In this very meeting Jagan did give hints that he would be touring the state from December.

Due to Covid-19, CM Jagan was confined to his Tadepalli camp office and Secretariat in Amaravati from March 2020. Now that the caseload has come down drastically and vaccination is upwards, Jagan has decided to tour the state and get along with the people.

After coming to power, Jagan established Village and Ward Secretariats. To address the concerns of the common man, these secretariats are working. Then comes the village and ward volunteers, it is a revolutionary system and provided employment to many.

Village and ward volunteers are playing a huge role in payment of pensions to the beneficiaries and assisting people who reach secretariats for their personal works. In no time the Village Secretariat and Volunteers system gained huge popularity and kind of benefitted the YSRCP greatly.

However, CM Jagan did not pay a single visit to any village or ward secretariat even once and in the Spandana meeting, he added that he would be visiting every secretariat across the state from December. Jagan also summoned his ministers and MLAs to visit at least four secretariats that fall under their constituencies and take feedback from the people.

This Village Secretariat and Volunteers system is going to be a trump card for the YSRCP in the next elections. Jagan’s prestigious ‘Nava Ratnalu’ is being implemented by the Village Secretariat and Volunteers system and it’s efficiency is pivotal for the impression on the state government.

But then CM Jagan just did not direct his ministers and MLAs, he asked District Collectors, Joint Collectors, Sub Collectors, Municipal Commissioners, ITDA POs to visit the secretariats. This call from Jagan has raised doubts that, is this a strategy to go for mid-term polls?

In the last cabinet meeting, Jagan reportedly discussed early polls and asked for the opinion of ministers. Though the complete details are not out yet, YCP insiders are widely discussing the same. On the whole Jagan’s tour of secretariat has a strategy with elections in mind and that way he wants to checkmate the oppositions.
