Chiru & Pawan Could Not Make It; Let’s Do It: Kapu leaders

The welfare of the Kapu community is a long pending demand. Despite multiple attempts by many leaders, the Kapu community demands were not completely met. In order to make a collective fight, prominent leaders of the Kapu community met at a star hotel in Hyderabad about four days back.

TDP MLA Ganta Srinivas Rao, Ex-BJP chief (Andhra) Kanna Lakshminarayana, ex-CBI JD Lakshminarayana, Vangaveeti Radha Krishna, Thota Chandrasekhar, former chief secretary of Tamil Nadu, Rammohan Rao, Kapu reservation leader Areti Prakash and others of Kapu association were the ones who held preliminary round of discussions.

All the leaders opined that Kapu’s should get the political authority and it needs a collective effort. “In the past Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan fought the polls but their efforts went in vain. This should not repeat in future and our next poll fight should be strategic and should be a deciding factor for any political party,” said the leaders.

On being in different political outfits, the Kapu leaders stated that it is their individual choice but ultimately we need to display our stamina communally and play a pivotal role in the government.

Reiterating that the Kapu community is not against other communities, “We would want to be a politically decisive force and that’s our goal and we shall fight for the same until it is achieved,” added the leaders.

Notably no Kapu leader from the YCP made it to the meeting and not sure whether any of them received an invitation for the meeting. Post the preliminary talks, the second round of consultation is expected to take place before or after the Sankranthi festival.
