CM Laughs At KTR’s ‘Pack Your Bags to Hyd’ tweet!

Last week an entrepreneur tweeted about the bad roads in Bengaluru despite being the Silicon Valley of India, generating billions of Rupees, startups. This tweet drew Telangana IT minister KTR’s attention and he immediately appealed to the entrepreneur to pack his bags and relocate to Hyderabad. KTR endorsed Hyderabad that it has the best roads and connectivity to the airport is seamless.

Reacting to this KTR’s tweet, Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai rubbished the idea of comparing Bengaluru with Hyderabad. “I can only laugh at such comments. Bengaluru is a world class city and people from all over the world land here. The city is the start-up hub in India and is home to many unicorns. Billions of Dollars of business is happening in Bengaluru and the city is unstoppable,” said Bommai.

The Karnataka CM also quoted that Bengaluru is attracting the highest number of FDIs (Foreign Direct Investments) which tune up to 40 percent of the entire nation and has been topping the FDI charts for the past three years.

Nevertheless the brand name of Karnataka and Bengaluru took a beating in the recent past with Hijab controversy. The state government failed to handle the situation efficiently and many, especially the IT sector people opined that the issue caused serious disturbance.

Even before the Karnataka CM responded to KTR’s tweet, K-PCC chief DK Shivakumar reacted and added that the glory of Bengaluru will be restored once Congress is back in power in 2023.
