Araku MP Missing In Action!

It has been three years after the YCP was voted to power but people in several constituencies are assessing the good done by the representatives elected by them.

Gotteti Madhavi, elected as an MP from Araku even as she contested the polls the first time, is well educated. She even worked as a teacher but the locals say that she has no big achievements as a political leader.

Despite having knowledge about the problems plaguing the people in her constituency, she had not presented them in the Parliament. Residents in Araku have been facing trouble due to the 1/70 Act and urging the elected representatives for scrapping it. The tribals have also been urging efficient marketing network for their products. Further, lack of medical facilities in their thandas has also been a cause of concern for them. They have to rush to Vizag, irrespective of the seriousness of the illness. In such a situation, the tribals have been asking for proper medical and nursing facilities within their reach.

Madhavi promised to address all the problems, if elected. However, she conveniently forgot everything as soon after the 2019 elections, she was busy with her marriage and neglected the voters for one complete year. Later, she lost contact with the electorate in the name of the pandemic. Even after the Covid-19 cases reducing in number, the MP has not been coming out of her house, probably due to personal reasons.

The public is not angry with her but they are not happy as she had failed to fulfill the promises. They have been urging her to get in contact with them and do the needful. The tribals are of the opinion that Madhavi has become lackadaisical due to lack of strong opposition leaders in the constituency, who could question her on failures.

Are you hearing, MP Madhavi?
