Former minister and TDP senior leader J.C. Diwakar Reddy said that former CM and TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu was thousand times better than Chief Minister and YCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Naidu tries to understand issues and grievances when somebody raises them unlike Jagan who is a ‘moorkhudu’, Reddy said.
Addressing the public, he said that Jagan’s father Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy had once told him that his son was a ‘durmargudu’ and ‘moorkhudu’. “Now, YSR’s words are proving to be true. “Guddulu’ replaced ‘muddulu’,” he said.
Diwakar Reddy said that several TDP leaders had surrendered to the YCP boss only because he targeted their financial resources and tried to weaken them economically. Police cases were foisted against other TDP leaders and they were even sent to jail, he said.
He reminded that he was a staunch loyalist of the Congress but that he was forced to switch his loyalty to the TDP after bifurcation of the state. “After bifurcation of the state, I had only two options – TDP and YCP. Naidu is far better than Jagan. At least, he tries to listen to other’s suggestions but Jagan would put someone giving advice in a jail. Jagan is a very arrogant man,” he said.
In the same tempo, he said even Naidu is not an angel. He is also a human being and does mistakes but tries to rectify them when pointed out. “It is because of Naidu’s mistakes that the party had to suffer a humiliating defeat.”
He, however, said that he was happy on hearing a good news. “Chandrababu said that he would change 50% of the MLAs in the party. Hope he does it. In the next couple of days, I would meet Naidu and speak to him elaborately for more than an hour. Then I would tell him all that I believe and wait to see if he would consider my suggestions.”
Jagan’s party leaders follow only two principles – “Baadude baadudu” and “nimpude nimpudu”. They keep filling their pockets.
He said that the voters should try to assess the MLAs of yesteryears and those existing now. “I do not say that the MLAs of olden days were honest but they were not so corrupt and erratic. Does one need to hang the bones around his neck just because he is eating meat?”
“I once again tell you that Chandrababu is much better than Jagan. He could have done mistakes but is ready to rectify them. If you do not vote for our party, it is you people who would suffer. Chandrababu does not know how to even slap the other person but Jagan can stab anyone.”
“Think and compare the leaders contesting the polls. Then take a wise decision and exercise your franchise. Think about your children and which government would do good to them. Your experience should have taught you lessons.”
He urged the public to vote for the TDP and save themselves and the state too.
