We have heard reports about Covid-19 positive patients being untraceable in Hyderabad and Uttar Pradesh and now the same happened in Nellore. About 1500 people who have given the test and showed positive, are not traceable.
Going into details, after taking swab tests from people, the officials allot a special number to the application of people which contains their address details too. This is when a mistake occurred as the officials failed to enter the address details of the patients and when the results arrived, the officials did not find the address details of 1500 patients.
This has made officials have no clue about the people and are seriously worried about the situation as there are high chances of the virus spreading further in the district. Upon this the joint Collector of Nellore district has stepped into action and is monitoring the centres where swab tests are being conducted.
As of August 4th, Nellore has 9380 Covid-19 cases while the active cases count is 5319.
