Amaravati will remain as the only capital for AP: Rahul

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has responded to the burning issues of beleaguered Andhra Pradesh state. Rahul stated that Congress would accord Special Category Status for AP if it comes back to power at the Centre. Talking about the controversial 3 Capitals for AP moved by the prevailing state government, Rahul Gandhi stated that Amaravati would remain the sole capital of the state. Rahul made these critical remarks during the part of his ‘Bharat Jodo’ yatra in AP. 

Rahul stated that Congress is committed to all its promises made to AP during the state bifurcation. He said that the party will fulfill promises to AP after it returns to power. Rahul also said the Polavaram Irrigation project will be completed on a war-foot measure if Congress returns to power. Rahul said Amaravati will remain as the only capital for Andhra Pradesh. He said Amaravati farmers have met him. Rahul said Amaravati farmers have the support of Congress and he lent full support to the farmers’ padayatra demanding capital Amaravati. 

Rahul continued his Jodo Padayatra in AP. He addressed media persons in Kurnool’s Adoni. Talking about the yatra, he said the purpose of Bharat Jodo Yatra is not for 2024 elections but to unite the people of the country against the division of the country being carried out by the BJP-RSS.
