CM KCR’s daughter and MLC Kavitha, who was summoned to appear before the CBI in connection with the Delhi liquor scam, has given a twist to the CBI officials in her own style.
Kavitha was asked to appear before on 6th December at 11 AM and given her choice of two options – Hyderabad residence or Delhi residence for questioning. Kavitha informed the CBI officials that her name was nowhere mentioned in the FIR copy. Kavitha has written a letter to the CBI DG conveying the same.
In the letter, Kavitha mentioned she couldn’t appear on 6th December and cited some other pre-fixed programmes. Kavitha told CBI that she would be free on Dec 11, 12, 14 and 15 dates and said she would answer the CBI questions at her Hyderabad residence. Talking to the media, Kavitha stated the same. She defended her meeting with legal experts stating that to face the issue legally.
Meanwhile, reports have it that Kavitha had met CM KCR at Pragathi Bhavan recently. After which, things seem to have taken a dramatic turn, say insiders. It is buzzed that KCR has given some clear guidelines to Kavitha and she would be following them.
Based on KCR’s advice, Kavitha has interacted with a team of legal experts who reportedly advised her to delay meeting CBI officials to buy some time to study the case and the timeline of events that took place so far. CBI is yet to respond to Kavitha’s appeal. All eyes are on Kavitha today. More details are awaited.
