KCR’s BRS, a deal breaker for Naidu and TDP

Sometimes the decisions of the political leaders boomerang and sometimes they bring great discomfort. Currently Telangana CM KCR is in a similar situation because he converted his Telangana Rashtra Samithi into Bharat Rashtra Samithi and very soon he will be touring the entire country as part of his national politics ambitions.

This means KCR has to set aside his weapon i.e, invoking the regional sentiment. KCR is not confined to Telangana with BRS and the state politics, he will have to step into other states and the neighboring Andhra Pradesh is just a distance away. To step into AP, KCR will have to leave the Telangana sentiment behind while in other states, he needs to study the local politics and the parties that already exist there.

Political observers say that if KCR enters AP politics, he might have to reach out to the TDP chief. This is a deal breaker for both Naidu and TDP. And if a quick recall to 2018 elections is made, Chandrababu campaigned extensively and even forged an alliance with Congress. KCR took a huge advantage of Chandrababu’s campaignin Telangana and ran a propaganda and successfully accomplished it.

Now KCR has no chance of using the sentiment and invoking the regional conflicts. This idea will now work in favour of Telugu Desam say analysts and none other than KCR himself handed over an opportunity for Chandrababu. Analysts also say that this is a welcome change and TDP has good chances of revival.

TDP is still strong in Ranga Reddy, Khammam, Warangal, Hyderabad, Mahbubnagar and Adilabad with decent cadre. With the appointment of Kasani Gnaneshwar as Telangana TDP chief, the party is looking with fresh energy. Simultaneously Chandrababu Naidu has the full scope to tour all over Telangana and who knows if he emerges as the major opposition leader.
