Minister Malladi Cleans Toilet In Covid Ward

Coronavirus is sending jitters down the spines of both the rich and poor with celebrities and who is who, also falling victims to it. Elected representatives seem to be more worried as they are scared that they could catch the infection, if they came with even the slightest source of the virus.

Day in and day out, they have to interact with people affected with Covid-19 and enquire about the quality of services being rendered in the government healthcare facilities, which could prove risky to their life.

But, here we have a minister who has not just kept quiet enquiring about the services being provided to them but also went beyond and addressed it.

Health minister of Puducherry, Malladi Krishna Rao, had cleaned the toilet in a Covid ward in the government hospital, very well aware that he could contract the virus very fast in such highly-infectious zone.

He visited the hospital functioning on the premises of the Indira Gandhi Government Medical College. During inspection, many of the patients and their attendants complained that toilets in the health facility were not being sanitised properly.

Immediately, he called the officials and asked for a toilet cleaning brush. Hearing to this, people present there were shocked. They tried to appease him saying they will get the toilet cleaned soon as he left the place.

However, with the minister insisting that the brush be given to him, they handed it over and he cleaned the toilet.
