Avinash Reddy Met Jagan in Delhi

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s sudden tour to Delhi assumed significance after the Telangana High Court dismissed his cousin and YCP MP Y.S. Avinash Reddy’s petition seeking orders to the CBI not to arrest him in connection with YS Vivekananda Reddy’s murder.

YCP MP Avinash Reddy met Jagan this morning and spoke for quite some time behind closed doors. Avinash Reddy accompanied Jagan till he boarded his vehicle to reach the Parliament and meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The CM obtained clearance for appointment with Modi. He is likely to meet the PM on the premises of the Parliament and urge the Centre to lift restrictions on state’s borrowings and allowing banks to lend to the state. The YCP government is mired in a deep financial crisis what with the authorities finding it difficult to even pay the monthly salaries of the state employees.

According to sources, Jagan might not make any mention about Polavaram or special category status to Andhra Pradesh during his meet with the PM.

There is information that Jagan would also make a request to the PM regarding his own personal issues in connection with the numerous cases filed against him for possessing disproportionate assets.

Further, it is also to be seen if Avinash Reddy would accompany Jagan to Amaravati or if he would stay put in Delhi, as the Budget session is underway.

Reportedly, Jagan would leave for Amaravati this afternoon. Sources said that Jagan is also seeking an appointment with Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
