Pawan Kalyan landed in New Delhi to have talks with his ally BJP. Pawan along with PAC chairman Nadendla Manohar is having a series of meetings with the top brass of the BJP. As 2024 general elections are fast approaching, these meetings have garnered a lot of political significance. Pawan is seeking clarity on the alliances and wants to go all out for the coming general elections.
There were a lot of rumours about the growing difference between Janasena and BJP’s state leadership in AP. Pawan’s meetings with BJP high command is expected to bring solution to these. Pawan has already concluded a meeting with AP BJP incharge Muralidharan and BJP national general secretary Siva Prakash. Pawan is going to meet BJP national president JP Nadda as well. It is strongly buzzed that the discussions are centred around TDP.
The moot question is whether BJP agrees to join hands with TDP or not. Apparently, Pawan is pushing for TDP as it is a key opposition party in AP and waging a battle with ruling YSRCP. Pawan doesn’t want the anti-YSRCP vote to get split. Hence, Pawan wants to form a grand alliance along with TDP and BJP. However, BJP is yet to take a final call on striking alliance with TDP.
If BJP gives its nod for alliance with TDP, it will be TDP-Janasena-BJP combine that will take on YSRCP. If BJP doesn’t give its nod, then we have to see what would be Pawan’s decision. Pawan is the ‘Peddanna’ who is stitching the grand alliance in AP. After the recent debacle in MLC polls, YSRCP is going through a rough phase. If this news of grand alliance comes out, it is going to be a severe blow for Jagan & co. We have to see how Pawan’s talks with BJP netas in Delhi pan out.
