#VivekaMurder: Avinash Reddy Identified As A8

The CBI identified YCP MP Y.S. Avinash Reddy as A8 in the YS Viveka murder case. The investigation agency alleged that Avinash Reddy and his father Bhaskar Reddy identified as A7, had been trying to tamper with the evidences and witnesses since the crime happened.

The CBI also stated that Bhaskar Reddy should not be granted bail, even with conditions, because his release would impact the investigation into the case. The probe agency reiterated that Chief Minister Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy was aware of the murder of his uncle even before the public knew of it.

The CBI which filed a counter affidavit in the court stating that Bhaskar Reddy’s plea for bail should be rejected mentioned that both the father and son are completely involved in tampering the evidences and witnesses in connection with the murder case. The duo tried to mislead the sleuths, it alleged.

Avinash Reddy reached the scene of crime even before Sivasankar Reddy called him up to inform him about the murder. The CBI also stated that Dastagiri, who turned the approver, had said that Avinash Reddy spoke to Sivasankar Reddy and Gangi Reddy in the morning when the murder was committed.

It also reminded that Avinash and Sivasankar Reddy told CI Sankaraiah not to register a case with regard to the murder of even do the post-mortem of the body. Avinash and his father, the CBI said, tried to even prevent Dastagiri from revealing facts to the CBI. It also stated that Bhaskar Reddy, if given a bail, would try to meddle with the key witnesses. It also stated that Bhaskar Reddy has a lot of influence in Kadapa and Pulivendula. The probe agency said that if Bhaskar Reddy is out on bail, he would try to tinker with the evidences in Pulivendula which can be an impediment in the investigation of the case.

The agency also said that Bhaskar Reddy’s claim that he had been cooperating with the CBI in the investigation of the case is a false claim. It said that Bhaskar Reddy’s argument that there was no problem in the investigation into the case because photos and videos of the murder scene had been recorded, was not valid. It is not fair to investigate in depth into the witnesses while granting bail. The prosecution cannot investigate into the case at this stage, the CBI said.

It said that Jagan knew about the murder before 6.15 am. Jagan knew about the murder even before Viveka’s PA Krishna Reddy informed the CM about it. Even Vivekananda Reddy’s daughter Sunitha also submitted a letter to the CBI court not to grant bail to Bhaskar Reddy. If he is given bail, Bhaskar Reddy would tamper the evidences which will be an irrevocable loss to the investigation agency probing into the case, she lamented.
