Raids were conducted on Wednesday by Income Tax authorities at the residences and offices of BRS leaders, including MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy and MLA Pailla Shekhar Reddy.
A team of 70 officials simultaneously carried out searches at the properties of both the BRS MP and the MLA. The house of Prabhakar Reddy in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, was one of the locations raided by the officials.
Additionally, raids were conducted at 12 different places, including the offices and residence of the Bhongir MLA in Kothapet, Hyderabad.
Reports suggest that the searches were focused on companies such as Health and Technologies and Main Land Digital Technologies. It is worth noting that Shekhar Reddy’s wife, Vanitha Reddy, holds a directorial position in these companies.
Furthermore, the IT officials also raided the shopping mall owned by Nagarkurnool MLA Marri Janardhan Reddy in Kukatpally. Since 6 am on Wednesday, the IT sleuths have been carrying out investigations at the JC Brothers showroom, where Janardhan Reddy serves as a director.
