‘Felt Shocked For Arresting Babu Based On My Statement’

PV Ramesh, a former IAS officer who played a significant role during Chandrababu Naidu’s tenure as Chief Minister, has raised questions about his involvement in the skill development case that led to the arrest of TDP leader and former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. The CID had previously recorded Ramesh’s statement in connection with the skill development case, and there have been claims in the media and on social platforms that the CID filed a case against Chandrababu Naidu based on Ramesh’s statement.

However, Ramesh vehemently denied these claims, stating that there is no truth to the assertion that Chandrababu Naidu was arrested because of his statement. He further clarified that he has not become an approver in the case. Ramesh expressed astonishment over the entire situation, describing it as ridiculous.

Regarding the skill development project, Ramesh emphasized that during Chandrababu’s tenure as Chief Minister, the initiative aimed to provide valuable skills to the youth. He defended the actions of the Finance Department during that time, stating that they had not made any mistakes in the implementation of the project.

Ramesh also raised concerns about the CID’s behavior, particularly in the absence of the original files related to the case. He questioned how cases could be filed without access to the original documentation. Moreover, he expressed doubts that the CID may have manipulated his statements in their favor. Ramesh also highlighted the absence of certain key names, such as the Skill Development MD and Secretary, from the case and stressed the significance of their roles in the matter.”
